Description

Join Cinequest and Patch Adams for the World Premiere of Clownvets and presentation of the Kaiser Permanente Thrive Award on March 7th at the palatial California Theatre.

Laugh and the world laughs with you.

Reconnect with yourself, love your inner self, and, by humanitarian clowning, heal yourself and others. This is a powerful concept put in practice by the legendary and inspiring Patch Adams. For decades, Patch and his team of extraordinary volunteers have traveled the world and helped heal veterans suffering from PTSD constantly working to relieve invisible wounds. Clownvets follows Patch and team on one of their journeys to Guatemala, immersing themselves into the world of "humanitarian clowning." There, the red nose works to connect these men and women with love, compassion and laughter things that for these heroes have forgotten. -Pratibha Kelapure
