With their partners away serving in Afghanistan, a group of women on the home front form a choir and quickly find themselves at the center of a media sensation and global movement.
This feel-good film showcases the courage of spirited women (played by stars Kristin Scott Thomas, The English Patient, and Sharon Horgan, Catastrophe) who live their lives with grace, despite the stress and loneliness they face every day. Amidst all of this, each has a life to live. Director Peter Cattaneo (The Full Monty) portrays a particularly strong-willed bunch of military wives who have found a community in each other. The personalities within the group clash but find common ground with the idea of starting a choir. The joy of singing goes along with the joys of finding a strong companionship in their sisterhood. Your heart will sing as you witness the global phenomenon of the military wives’ choir.–Shwetha VR
